Youth Work Training Program

Outside The Box Ministry Marketing's© arm, "Faith Works", has worked to instill positive principals, provide positive role models and most importantly the salvation of Jesus Christ in the lives of teenagers across the country for many years.

Faith Works partners with newspapers across the country to provide jobs for teens in that area selling newspaper subscriptions. Faith Works team leaders provide transportation, (via Faith Works passenger vans), picking up youth and transporting them to various neighborhoods to sell newspaper subscriptions. Marketing, sales and communication skills are all taught and integrated into the experience.

Faith Works youth work training program offers a unique blend of job training, social skills and spiritual experience not usually found in today's work place or in the lives of our young people. Our work training programs are targeted at youth 14-17 of all skill levels and backgrounds. We believe that this is where we can have the largest impact in changing lives.

Faith Works' purpose is to provide the best in work training, instruction and hands on experience, in an atmosphere that exposes the students to God's Word, Christian faith and fellowship. Small group discussions (huddles) led by Team leaders or young adults, prayer, daily chapel programs, recreation, and free time complete the work training program.

Matthew 8:2"Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven."

We believe this verse poses a big question: What is the will of our Father, God? Just as the verse says, many will give their answers as to what it means to understand the will of God, but they will not enter the kingdom of heaven. So, how do you understand the will of God? Simple: you experience His forgiveness. Walk in His presence. You see, each person has a different will of their life, just like a fingerprint-not one is the same. And, unless you are experiencing the presence of God, there is no way you can know or understand His will for your life.

Here is the next question: If you are already experiencing God and are already in His will, are you challenging others to do the same? There is a quote from a book called Waking the Dead; by John Eldridge that fits this lesson to a tee. "You might recall the old proverb: 'Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.' The same holds true here. Teach a man a rule and you help him solve a problem; teach a man to walk with God and you help him solve the rest of his life." As you go about your week this week, remember this quote. Remember to challenge others to walk with God and to find His will for their life.
